Shots Fired Bob Lefsetz at Jimmy Iovine @lefsetz

Jimmy-Iovine

Well it seems Bob Lefsetz had some shots to fire about Interscope Records/Beats by Dre Headphones founder, Jimmy Iovine.

Jimmy is apart of Apple now (how does that work?), and he was at the annual WWDC speaking today about the new music service that Apple is about to launch. It’s probably just going to be what spotify is, but with a better app that will work on an Iphone and Spotify will probably get bugs and things to slow it down.

Bob Lefsetz writes a email/blog type of thingy, that got famous a few years back because Bob went at people like Taylor Swift and Kid Rock for attention, and it worked. He actually got both Swift and Kid Rock to fire back at him, and a lot of people started to pay attention to his e-blog(is that a thing, e-blog?)

The e-blog mostly consists of Bob ranting about how good music was when he was growing up, and how it sucks now. Typical stuff from an old time music head.

To break his e-blog down it’s really him complaining about how music sucks, it got killed when Napster came out, and there hasn’t been any good music to come out since like 1977 or maybe 1983.

Bob doesn’t understand that most of the kids today think a ‘record store’ is a place the NSA owns where they keep all the recordings they are collecting.

Bob is a man snapping a buggy whip at Henry Ford telling him his automobile idea is insane.

He is the guy who can find something wrong with anything, I am quite convinced that if Bob died and went to Heaven, after his arrival, he would send out one of his e-blogs that would find anything he could wrong with Heaven.

But anyways, Bob is also a tech-head, he has been saying for years that Steve Jobs was bigger than Jesus and Lil Wayne combined, and no musician could do what Steve could do.

If he meant steal other people’s work and take create for it, he should just buy some Kanye West music, but he can’t see his Iphone screen to go to Itunes to buy it. (Ok, maybe he can’t see his Apple Watch not his Iphone!)

So Bob was watching the WWDC and here is what he said about Jimmy’s speech:

“Street smart but uneducated. Can he not read a teleprompter or just not read? Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave. Steve rehearsed, had to get it perfect. Jimmy looks like he just rolled out of bed. A bad day for music, a great day for tech. I’d rather listen to Jennifer Bailey or Susan Prescott any day of the week.”

Yeah, he was pretty much saying Iovine can’t read and he did a terrible job with his presentation. Funny Stuff.

Shots fired between the two old timers, but I really don’t think Iovine is going to like this when it gets out.

Bob did say that he liked the performance by Drake which surprised me since besides the fact that Bob hates everything, well mainly that fact. But since Drake came out of Napster, and after the death of the CD, there is no way that he has made any money in his music career which is said. That is one of Bob’s big things in his e-blog, how musicians won’t make money anymore and any young kid should turn to tech and making apps instead of making music. Heck, maybe since Bob liked this Drake guy so much he will start a kickstarter for him?

Drake’s Net Worth

Head over to twitter and follow Bob HERE and if you do, make sure you tell him that somewhere after 1997 he turned into the old guy in the neighborhood that’s always complaining about ‘them damn kids in my yard,’ and ‘their loud music!’
