Well as we reported, Young Thug was arrested for what might be his involvement in a murder plot to kill Lil Wayne.
He was granted bond today. Video and story below …
Rapper Young Thug is set to be released from the Fulton County Jail after a judge granted him a $21,000 bond Friday.
Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested at his Sandy Springs home Wednesday — eight days after he allegedly threatened to shoot a Perimeter Mall security guard in the face.
According to an arrest warrant, Williams was being asked to leave the mall July 7 when he threatened the guard. He is being charged with terroristic threats in connection with the incident.
And the rapper’s rap sheet only got longer as the day progressed.
While at Williams’ house on Glenlake Drive, U.S. Marshals and city police found probable cause to execute a search warrant, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Forrest Bohannon said. Bohannon said additional felony warrants were obtained for Williams on marijuana, cocaine and firearm charges, after which he was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
Channel 2 Action News reports Williams, 23, was granted bond Friday and is allowed to travel outside the United States for his tour while awaiting trial for drug and weapons charges. He was still booked in the Fulton County Jail as of 3 p.m. Friday, according to jail records.
Williams, an Atlanta-native, was also recently named in an indictment that links him to the April shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour buses. Although Williams is not being charged in the incident, his tour manager Jimmy Winfrey was indicted on 30 charges.
Williams is best known for his 2013 single “Stoner” and is a member of Gucci Mane’s Atlanta-based record label.
