Michael Barber x Matty Moe “Hard Times”
Michael Barber and Matty Moe team up again for a some real sh*t on this…
Periodically, a new hip-hop artist emerges that refuses to follow the status quo, preferring instead to march to the beat of their own creative drummer. A prime example of this shines through in Tampa, Florida artist, Gionni “Paperboy” Cassanova. The development of Paperboy’s unique style stems from a lifetime of creative and musical influences right in his own family. His parents exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, and now as a young adult he is lightyears ahead of age as far as musical talent. All that being said, there is still a ceiling of greatness that Paperboy hasn’t reached yet.
Now it just seems to be a question of when the rest of the world will catch up and listen to the great music he is creating. Gionni has the unique ability to pick a hot beat, and provide the lyric game that is quite impressive.
Listing his musical influences from Big L to Billy Joel, it’s quick to see this kid isn’t your average rap cat. He has toured his own sunshine state of Florida performing and developing his brand and fans, and now it is time for the world to listen.
His talent along with a blend of old and new school only added to his appeal. “I grew up with 90’s hip hop,” Gionni explains, “ I naturally gravitate to that kind of sound.”
Gionni might say it is a mix of things, but to me it sounds like the future of hip hop. Listen to his new single, Whip featuring Pharoah. Peep the banger and then add Gionni on his social media sites listed below!
